Original brake pads are notorious for lacking endurance during sporty driving, whether it's on the track or on intense roads, you'll quickly run out of braking power and therefore efficiency. When the brake pad gets too hot, you'll start to "freeze" your pads and lose braking efficiency, in some cases permanently.
The materials used are designed for intense road use and occasional Track Days, this choice is the right compromise between driving comfort and overall efficiency of the vehicle: if the pads you install are too radical and extreme, they will be very noisy when cold, premature use of the disc, poor performance when cold.
The objective of a more efficient brake pad is to increase the temperature range of efficiency to avoid "icing" of the pads but also to increase the bite.
Thanks to these brake pads, you will be able to increase by 20% the bite during braking. Also, the efficiency temperature is increased by more than 100°C compared to the original system (0-500°C).
The coefficient of friction increases from 0.41 to 0.25, which translates into a more efficient bite, meaning that even at 650°C with these brake pads, you will brake better than with the best original pads.
ISO16949 and 14001 certified production
All brake pads are manufactured to the highest international ISO quality standards at Federal Mogul's specialized manufacturing facility in Italy.
Each brake pad undergoes a total of 26 separate quality checks during the manufacturing process, ensuring a repeatable and consistent product within and between each batch.
Precision engineering
All insert bases are made of high tensile steel, which minimizes distortion when subjected to the high clamping forces common in motorsports.
Bearings are manufactured to high tolerances on bearing and backplate dimensions, including flatness, parallelism and overall thickness.
The result is a fast and uniform transmission of brake system pressure to the pads.
Thermal underlay
Unlike many competitive products, this product has a thermal underlay between the substrate and the friction material.
This reduces the operating temperature of the brake caliper to as low as 80°C and greatly reduces the risk of brake fluid boiling, which causes a "spongy" feeling in the pedal.
Compatible with discs
Unlike many competitive products, these pads are disc-friendly. They are developed to optimize the life of the pad and the disc. Our philosophy is not to increase pad life at the expense of excessive disc wear.
High controllability
All brake pads are designed to operate with a relatively constant coefficient of friction (Mu) over a wide range of temperatures, pressures and vehicle speeds.
This translates into a consistent braking feel for the driver, which means that braking torque is a linear response to pedal pressure.
