Tesla Vehicles Spotted Under Covers at Fremont Factory

Tesla has sparked curiosity with a recent sighting of mysterious covered vehicles near its Fremont Factory test track in California. Eight Tesla vehicles that were under wraps were seen in drone footage; their distinctive shapes have sparked rumors about future models and maybe new designs.

The Fremont Factory was Tesla’s first manufacturing facility. It has a tiny test track where cars can be tested. It might not be as large as Tesla’s other locations, but new models and prototypes are regularly housed there. To get a view of Tesla’s operations, drone enthusiasts frequently fly over the factory. But in this case, the cars weren’t being put to the test. Rather, they were completely covered and parked close to the track.

Drone Footage by ‘Met God in Wilderness’

Met God in Wilderness,” a YouTube drone pilot, posted the video. On November 24, eight mysterious, covered cars were seen during the flyover. There were distinct forms beneath the coverings, suggesting a variety of patterns. “At least one vehicle appeared to have a low-slung, sleek form, while others looked like crossover SUVs,” the drone operator noted. Some vehicles even seemed to have a squared-off back, unlike the familiar sloping rear of the Model Y.

Speculations About the Covered Tesla Vehicles

There has been debate over their identity due to the distinctive shapes beneath the covers. Three much-awaited models are presently being developed by Tesla:

Model Y Redesign: Known as the “Juniper” facelift, this updated model is expected to enhance Tesla’s well-liked crossover.

Affordable Models: According to reports, two new, cheaper variants based on the Model 3 and Model Y are being developed.

All three cars are expected to debut early next year. These covered cars may be early prototypes of these planned deliveries, according to some Tesla observers.

Why the Secrecy?

The mystery has grown as a result of Tesla’s choice to keep these cars covered. Tesla has tested prototypes on public roads with no protection in the past, which begs the issue of what makes these cars unique. One possibility is that these are either major revisions or whole new designs that Tesla is not yet prepared to disclose. The company’s approach to creating anticipation before formal announcements is consistent with this degree of secrecy.

There’s a strong trigger for Tesla fans to be thrilled. Other much-anticipated cars, including the next-generation Roadster, are still in the works in addition to the possible Model Y update and new, reasonably priced versions. The identities of the covered vehicles are yet unknown. However, their existence suggests important changes to Tesla’s lineup. The enthusiasm for these cars and Tesla’s upcoming initiatives is going to grow as 2025 draws nearer.
