Tesla Opens Its First Store in Qatar

Tesla has confirmed the launch of its first store in Qatar. This action is an important leap forward in Tesla’s commitment to hasten the transition to sustainable energy. Momo Elmegrahi, Delivery Operations Supervisor, announced on LinkedIn, emphasizing the importance of the new store. The Qatar store will showcase Tesla’s cutting-edge vehicles, including the Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y.

Grand Opening and Media Event

The firm held a special media event to celebrate Tesla’s launch in Qatar at Msheireb Downtown Doha. The event included test drives of the Tesla Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y, allowing attendees to see the cutting-edge technology and performance of Tesla automobiles. In 2020, Tesla erected a Megapack system for Qatar General Electricity and Water Corporation in Nuaija, south of Doha. The project cost roughly $2.7 million, and construction took around a year for the 1 MW/4 MWh project.

Location and Hours

The new Tesla Pop-Up store is in Doha’s Festival City (DFC) mall. It is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m., with extended hours on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The store is located in the Luxury area on the mall’s ground floor. Customers can visit this facility to see and test drive Tesla automobiles and learn more about their sophisticated technology and simple charging options.

Service Center and Supercharger Network Expansion

Tesla intends to create a permanent location in Doha Festival City in the coming months. It will be supported by a service center, ensuring that Tesla owners receive prompt and seamless service. Tesla Service Technicians will receive extensive training to deliver high-quality maintenance and support.

Tesla is also building out its Supercharger network in Qatar. The first Supercharger station in Doha Festival City will open this month. More superchargers will be installed later this year, providing comprehensive coverage for speedy electric vehicle charging nationwide.

A Lineup for Every Lifestyle

Tesla offers four vehicles in Qatar, each designed to cater to various customer preferences:

Model 3 – Everyday Sedan

The Model 3 is an excellent daily driver, boasting five-star safety ratings and agile handling. It starts at QR168,490 and has a range of up to 678 kilometers (WLTP estimated). The updated Model 3 provides more refinement and comfort while preserving its elegant look.

Model Y – Midsize SUV

With its large cabin and long range, the Model Y is ready for anything. It is priced at QR188,490 and has a range of up to 565 kilometers (WLTP Est.). The Performance model speeds from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.7 seconds and includes a special Track Mode for improved driving control.

Model S – Premium Sedan

The Model S blends strong performance and excellent comfort. It costs QR318,490 and has a range of up to 723 km (WLTP Est.). The Model S Plaid accelerates from 0 to 100 kph in 2.1 seconds and has a top speed of 322 kph with 1020 horsepower.

Model X – Premium SUV

The Model X seats up to seven people and has falcon wing doors for quick access. Starting at QR338,490, it has a range of up to 625 km (WLTP estimated). The Model X Plaid accelerates from 0 to 100 kph in 2.6 seconds and produces 1020 horsepower.

Customer Experience

Like other Tesla showrooms, the Doha facility provides a hands-on experience. Customers can inspect and purchase vehicles in person and book demonstration drives. Tesla plans to open two Supercharger sites in Doha this year. The store’s opening comes after Tesla’s initial vehicle.
