Tesla Cybertruck is the latest addition to the Dubai Police luxury patrol fleet. The Dubai Police insignia is boldly displayed on the hood of the Cybertruck, wrapped in the department’s green and white. This unique electric vehicle (EV) will join the tourist police patrol fleet, adding to the city’s high-tech law enforcement presence.
The news was made via social media, with Dubai Police uploading photographs of the Cybertruck on X. The post drew attention from the Tesla Cybertruck account and CEO Elon Musk. Musk replied with a simple “Cool” and a sunglasses emoji, and the Cybertruck account said, “Very cool to see — thanks for the trust.”
Tesla Cybertruck: International Aspirations
Currently, the Cybertruck is only accessible in the United States. However, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has hinted at potential international availability. He suggested that Tesla may obtain certification to sell the Cybertruck in additional markets as early as next year. It comes from a big fleet order from Arabia Taxi Dubai, which intends to add over 260 Tesla Model 3 vehicles to its taxi fleet.
Growing Trend of EVs in Law Enforcement
The addition of the Cybertruck to Dubai Police’s fleet is a larger trend. Police agencies worldwide rapidly adopt electric vehicles due to their cost advantages and environmental benefits. Earlier this year, Unplugged Performance showcased a Cybertruck intended for police usage. Tesla estimates that their EVs can save police departments more than $4,000 on equipment costs. In Bargersville, Indiana, Tesla police vehicles have saved taxpayers approximately $80,000 annually on gasoline expenditures alone.
Tesla Cybertruck: Public Display at Dubai Mall
To commemorate the new patrol vehicle, Dubai Police invites residents and tourists to see the Cybertruck up close. The display will be in front of the Dubai Ice Rink at Dubai Mall from June 18 to June 21, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Visitors can snap selfies with the distinctive vehicle, which bears the unique plate number 5. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, admired the futuristic vehicle.

Brigadier Khalfan Obaid Al Jallaf, Director of the Tourist Police Department, underlined the importance of luxury patrols for supporting tourists. He explained that these patrols assist tourists and visitors at events and community projects by providing critical information and ensuring a smooth experience. Major General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri further stated that supercars increase security presence at key tourist locations such as the Burj Khalifa and Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Boulevard.
