We’re pleased to bring you an exclusive article today. The long-awaited facelift of the Tesla Model 3 seems to be unveiling itself as Project Highland. After months of speculation and rumours, we finally have details and an unofficial photo of the improvements and new features in this updated version of one of the world’s most popular electric vehicles.
Exterior design
Project Highland appears to retain the sleek, minimalist aesthetic of the original Model 3 while making some notable improvements. The front headlights have been redesigned for a more modern look and improved visibility. The front bumper has also been redesigned, giving the vehicle a more aggressive and dynamic look reminiscent of the Roadster 2’s headlights.
Other rumours suggest that, as with the CyberTruck, the car’s mirrors will be removable to allow driving using only the on-board cameras.
The front fog lamps seem to have been removed from the front bumper. A very strange choice considering the regulations and obligations.
The wheels also seem to have been changed, there are two new wheels on the menu to replace the 18 inch Aero wheels and the 19 inch Sport wheels. The new 18″ wheels look sportier and look good. There seems to be a central place to put a wheel centre that will hide the nuts like on the UberTurbine rims.
On the updated Sports rims, they seem to take the design of the Tesla Model X rims with CyberStream like sticks and black paint between each stick.
